Christ the King School
Christ The King Roman Catholic School (CK) provides a comprehensive PreKindergarten through 8th grade, faith-based academic program that is accredited by the North Central Association. The school, which began instruction on September 6, 1949, embodies the teachings of Jesus Christ and is committed to providing programs and services incorporating a strong emphasis on spirituality and high academic expectations. CK is both a Catholic and a neighborhood school, which welcomes students of any creed, ethnicity, gender, nationality, or race.
The Kindergarten through eighth grade academic program is one that provides a wide variety of activities designed to help children grow and develop the skills necessary for creative expression (computer science, fine art, music, and physical education offered weekly in grades K-8) critical thinking, language development (including Spanish offered daily in grades K-8), mathematics, reading, and writing.
Complementing the K-8 program is a Pre-Kindergarten that meets the developmental and academic needs of the youngest children through a balanced and nurturing curriculum. The program is designed to promote emotional, physical, social, and spiritual growth, as well as prepare the students for an enriched and successful Kindergarten experience.
An on-site, extended-care program is available after school for CK students between the ages of five and twelve.
